Method of cleaning oil mist separating filter element

A vacuum pump filter is a component used in vacuum pump systems to prevent particulate matter and contaminants from entering the pump and potentially causing damage or reducing its performance. The method of cleaning the oil mist separation filter element mainly includes the following steps :

‌1. Turn off the oil mist filter and disconnect the power ‌ to ensure that the equipment is in a safe state.

‌2. Remove the filter or filter element ‌. Depending on the machine model, you may need to use a screwdriver or other tool to remove the filter.

‌3. Clean the filter ‌. Place the filter or filter element in warm water and add appropriate amount of neutral detergent. Gently stir the strainer so that the detergent penetrates well and dissolves the oil.

‌4. Scrub the strainer ‌. Use a soft brush or sponge to gently scrub the surface of the filter, especially where the oil is heavy. Avoid using a stiff brush or metal brush to avoid damaging the filter.

‌5. Rinse strainer ‌. Rinse off detergent and dirt. You can use tap water or a low pressure water gun for flushing, ensuring that the direction of water flow is opposite to the fiber direction of the filter to avoid clogging.

‌6. Dry strainer ‌. Dry the strainer or gently wipe it dry with a clean towel. Ensure that the filter screen is completely dry before installing the oil mist filter.

‌7. Check the filter ‌. During the cleaning process, it is necessary to check whether the filter is damaged or worn, and if necessary, a new filter can be replaced in time.

‌8. Function test ‌. After installing the filter screen, restart the oil mist filter and perform a functional test to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.

Please note that the above steps are for reference only and the specific cleaning method may vary depending on the oil mist filter model and brand ‌.
