The China-Serbia free Trade Agreement came into effect in July this year

 

The China-Serbia free Trade Agreement will officially take effect on July 1 this year, according to the head of the International Department of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, after the entry into force of the China-Serbia free trade Agreement, the two sides will mutually eliminate tariffs on 90% of the tax items, of which more than 60% of the tax items will be eliminated immediately after the entry into force of the agreement. The final proportion of zero-tariff import items on both sides reached about 95%.

Specifically, Serbia will include China’s focus on automobiles, photovoltaic modules, lithium batteries, communications equipment, mechanical equipment, refractory materials, some agricultural and aquatic products into the zero tariff, the relevant product tariffs will be gradually reduced from the current 5%-20% to zero. The Chinese side will focus on generators, motors, tires, beef, wine, nuts and other products into the zero tariff, the relevant products tariff will be gradually reduced from 5% to 20% to zero.
