Antistatic filter material and flame retardant filter material for air filter element

In the interior of the bag dust collector, the dust with the air flow friction, dust and filter cloth impact friction will produce static electricity, general industrial dust (such as surface dust, chemical dust, coal dust, etc.) after the concentration reaches a certain degree (that is, the explosion limit), such as electrostatic discharge sparks or external ignition and other factors, easily lead to explosion and fire. If these dusts are collected with cloth bags, the filter material is required to have an anti-static function. To eliminate the accumulation of charge on the filter material, two methods are usually used to eliminate the static electricity of the filter material:

(1) There are two ways to use antistatic agents to reduce the surface resistance of chemical fibers: ①Adhesion of external antistatic agents on the surface of chemical fibers: adhesion of hygroscopic ions or non-ionic surfactants or hydrophilic polymers to the surface of chemical fibers, attracting water molecules in the air, so that the surface of chemical fibers forms a very thin water film. The water film can dissolve carbon dioxide, so that the surface resistance is greatly reduced, so that the charge is not easy to gather. ② Before the chemical fiber is drawn, the internal antistatic agent is added to the polymer, and the antistatic agent molecule is uniformly distributed in the made chemical fiber to form a short circuit and reduce the resistance of the chemical fiber to achieve the antistatic effect.

(2) The use of conductive fibers: in chemical fiber products, add a certain amount of conductive fibers, using the discharge effect to remove static electricity, in fact, the principle of corona discharge. When the chemical fiber products have static electricity, a charged body is formed, and an electric field is formed between the charged body and the conductive fiber. This electric field is concentrated around the conductive fiber, thus forming a strong electric field and forming a locally ionized activation region. When there is a micro corona, positive and negative ions are generated, the negative ions move to the charged body and the positive ions leak to the ground body through the conductive fiber, so as to achieve the purpose of anti-static electricity. In addition to commonly used conductive metal wire, polyester, acrylic conductive fiber and carbon fiber can get good results. In recent years, with the continuous development of nanotechnology, the special conductive and electromagnetic properties, super absorbency and wide band properties of nanomaterials will be further used in conductive absorbing fabrics. For example, carbon nanotubes are an excellent electrical conductor, which is used as a functional additive to make it stably dispersed in the chemical fiber spinning solution, and can be made into good conductive properties or antistatic fibers and fabrics at different molar concentrations.

(3) The filter material made of flame retardant fiber has better flame retardant characteristics. Polyimide fiber P84 is a refractory material, low smoke rate, with self-extinguishing, when it burns, as long as the fire source left, immediately self-extinguish. The filter material made from it has good flame retardancy. Nano-composite flame retardant materials made of nanotechnology nano-sized inorganic flame retardants nano-sized, nano-scale Sb2O3 as the carrier, surface modification can be made into highly efficient flame retardants, its oxygen index is several times that of ordinary flame retardants.
