The Ingersoll Rand 38008579 separator filter is most commonly used in the Ingersoll Rand IRN50 and IRN60 variable speed drive rotary screw compressors. The separator filter also includes two O-rings located above and below the separator filter lip.
Replace the separator element every 4000 hours of operation as recommended. Oil is removed from the air stream before it is sent downstream. Replacing the separator element will reduce the pressure drop in the grease trap, improve energy efficiency, and prevent oil from entering the air dryer or production equipment.
